1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HijriMinder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HijriMinder. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

HijriMinder provides the following services:

• Hijri Calendar Management: Create, manage, and track events based on the Islamic (Hijri) calendar
• Google Calendar Integration: Automatic synchronization of Hijri events to Google Calendar
• Date Conversion: Bidirectional conversion between Hijri and Gregorian calendars using 6 calculation methods
• Email Notifications: Customizable reminders for upcoming events
• Multi-Timezone Support: Accurate date calculations based on your location

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that Hijri date calculations will match local moon sighting observations in all cases.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or legal age in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Have a valid email address

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access
• Using a strong, unique password

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Remain inactive for an extended period

You may delete your account anytime from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

4. Subscription & Billing

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with access to their selected plan's features. You provide your payment details during signup, but you won't be charged until after your trial ends. Your subscription then activates automatically.

4.2 Paid Plans

We offer three subscription tiers:

• Basic: $6/year - 10 events, email notifications, calendar sync
• Standard: $11/year - 25 events, advanced notifications, priority support
• Premium: $21/year - Unlimited events, multiple calendars, API access, dedicated support

4.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your subscription, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

4.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless canceled. You will be charged on the same day each month. We will notify you 7 days before renewal via email.

4.5 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime from Settings → Subscription → Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

4.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current price for 6 months after the price change.

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary to maintain its accuracy.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit malware or harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service
• Create excessive load on our infrastructure

5.3 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all event data and content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 HijriMinder Property

The Service, including its design, functionality, source code, and the HijriMinder name and logo, are owned by HijriMinder and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 User Content License

You grant HijriMinder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and process your content for the sole purpose of operating and improving the Service. We will not use your content for any other purpose without your permission.

6.3 Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our explicit written permission.

7. Service Availability

7.1 Uptime SLA

We target 99.5% uptime for paid subscribers. This excludes scheduled maintenance and events beyond our control (force majeure, third-party service outages, etc.).

7.2 Maintenance Windows

We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice but will be communicated as soon as possible.

7.3 Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice to users. We are not liable for any consequences of such changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services (Google Calendar, payment processors)
• We do not guarantee that Hijri date calculations will match local moon sightings

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with HijriMinder, please contact us first at [email protected]. We commit to working in good faith to resolve the issue.

9.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

9.3 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Organization]. You waive your right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit.

10. Changes to These Terms

• We will notify you via email or in-app notification
